What the season feels like

Same window as the rest of Ceará: trades July to January, most consistent August to December. Wind fills around 11am and settles from 1pm to 5pm. Outside that, rain and light wind. The difference is the water: a point break in front of the beach, a long left when swell is in, messier sea than Cumbuco. Great if you already ride upwind and want kite waves. Poor as a first-ever spot: the shorebreak punishes launches and landings. Beginners train on Taíba lagoon a few kilometres from the village, shallow and flat. Fewer people on the water than Cumbuco; small village, modest setup.
