What riding here is like

Trade winds July to January; August to December is the most reliable stretch.

Side-shore from the right, filling between 10 and 11:30am and holding solid from 1pm to 5:30pm. February to June brings rain and unreliable wind; many schools close or scale back. Preá is Jeri's wind with a kinder sea: long beach, sandy bottom, shallow at low tide, near-flat close in and choppier further out. Best in the region to learn and drill tricks without getting worked. About 12 km from Jericoacoara. Still less packed than Jeri, but it has grown fast.
